Covina, CA—The City of Covina is scheduled to officially kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting ceremony and festival on November 5.

This year marks the 31st Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will be hosted by Covina Department of Park and Recreations in partnership with H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum.

The upcoming event, which is free to the public, include such activities as Visit from Santa, Giveaways, hot chocolate and coffee, children’s crafts, children’s train ride, snow fall experience, and Letter to Santa.

“The Christmas tree lighting has been one of the most favorite events for the community,” said a spokesperson of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum.  “We wish this event would sweep away the haze caused by the pandemic and bring joy and happiness to everyone.”

According to the museum, a professional holiday lighting decoration company has been contracted to fully decorate the museum building and parking lot.  And two snow making machines will be put in front of the entrance so that parents and kids can enjoy the snow fall experience and take photos.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum, which has been dedicated to the community service, plans to partner with the City Hall for more events in 2022, including the Chalk Festival in April.
