Coronavirus Update: California Has 445,400 Confirmed Cases to Date

Sacramento, CA—Positivity rate and hospitalization rate continue to trend upward in California.  The total number of confirmed cases reaches 445,400 to date.

The 7-day average number of new cases is 10,005 per day. The 7-day average from the week prior was 9,003.

There have been 7,047,355 tests conducted in California. This represents an increase of 131,479 over the prior 24-hour reporting period. As testing capacity continues to increase across the state, an increase in the number of positive cases has been expected.

There have been 8,337 COVID-19 deaths in the state since the start of the pandemic.

Los Angeles County reported 53 new deaths and 3,628 new cases of COVID-19 today.
